The Ethereum Foundation and the Geth team have sparked heated discussions regarding independent events.
Gate News bot message, Ethereum developer Péter Szilágyi revealed that the Ethereum Foundation previously made an independent proposal of $5 million to the Geth (Go Ethereum's main client software) team, but it was rejected by the team. At the same time, the Foundation also provided $5 million in funding support to Parity, aimed at promoting client diversification and dropping reliance on Geth.
In response, Tomasz Stańczak, the co-executive director of the Ethereum Foundation, stated that there are currently no plans to remove Geth and that the foundation will continue to support its development work.
